Our Air. Our Watershed. Our Community.
The industrial process wastewater treatment facility at 44th & McIntyre continuously impacts our neighborhoods with offensive odors and sits directly along our shared watershed. The Clear Creek Environmental Coalition is a grassroots initiative composed of municipal residents, business owners, and local advocates dedicated to maintaining the baseline air quality and environmental safety of the West Metro corridor. We invite you to add your voice and sign the official petition here.
Clear Creek serves as a vital recreational and environmental lifecycle asset across our region, sustaining downstream natural sanctuaries such as the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt. Technical shortcomings or containment gaps at upstream facilities do not stop at city borders—they travel directly through residential areas, public parks, and shared outdoor spaces.
Through systematic documentation, community organizing, and structured public comment tracking, we aim to advocate for transparent infrastructure upgrades. We urge local and state regulatory authorities to require modern engineering standards—including completely enclosed multi-stage air scrubbers and advanced water filtration—to integrate this facility with modern community expectations.
